Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Player Sabotages Addison in Most Over-the-Top Way Possible

A frustrated Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player proves are tired of supporting Addison’s signs in the most extravagant way possible.

  • In the game Tears of the Kingdom, players can help Hudson Construction employee Addison prop up signs, though some players find it repetitive and tiresome.
  • A player named Signal-Put932 sabotaged Addison’s sign by using a contraption made of a plank of wood and rockets, causing the sign to fly off into space.
  • While some players dislike Addison’s mini-games, others, like raish_lakish, have shown dedication by building a shelter for Addison to protect him from monsters.

A fed-up Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player shows Addison that they are done supporting his signs in the most over-the-top way imaginable. The clip is perfect for Tears of the Kingdom players who hate fixing Addison’s signs, and there is no shortage of gamers who feel that way.

One of the most memorable side quests in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was the side quest called “From the Ground Up.” It was the longest side quest in the game and involved Link helping a construction worker named Hudson build a new settlement named Tarrey Town. The side quest itself branched off into many different directions, but once it was completed, it was impossible for players not to feel like they’d truly accomplished something. In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Hudson is back, and over the last five years, he’s managed to create his own company called Hudson Construction. Throughout Link’s newest adventure, he’ll occasionally run into an extremely dedicated employee of Hudson Construction named Addison.

Players who find Addison will need to assist him in propping up a Hudson Construction sign so they can give the poor guy a break. Some players enjoy doing these physics-based puzzles that pop up all over Hyrule in Tears of the Kingdom, while others, like Reddit User Signal-Put932 can’t stand it. In a clip posted to Reddit, Signal-Put932 sabotages Addison’s attempt to hold up the sign using a plank of wood fused to two rockets. The clip starts off with the player lining up the fused contraption below the sign, then shooting it with an arrow. Before the contraption fires up into the air, the player talks to Addison, telling him that he wants to try and support the sign. The second that Addison agrees to let the player support the sign, the contraption flies off into space, taking the sign with it.

There seems to be a puzzle around every corner of Hyrule in Tears of the Kingdom. There are puzzles to be found in every shrine the player enters, and there are random Korok puzzles all over the place as well. With so many different types of puzzles in the game, it’s understandable why some players would be tired of helping Addison with his signs over and over again, especially when there are almost 50 signs for players to prop up.

Not every fan of the game dislikes Addison’s mini-games, as another Reddit User named raish_lakish actually took the time to build a shelter for Addison so that any nearby monsters would leave him alone. Only time will tell if this dedicated Hudson Construction employee will become a fan favorite for the Zelda community or a loathed NPC that needs to be consistently messed with.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
