Armored Core 6 is set to launch on August 25. The game has a review embargo closer to its launch date according to a new report.

Armored Core 6, the latest mech action game developed by From Software, is part of a long-running franchise last seen on the PS3. The newest entry, running on a brand-new engine, will also feature online multiplayer.

According to a recent report, reviews for the game will go live just a day early, with the embargo lifting on August 23. No specific details have been shared regarding the exact time, but this is standard practice for From Software, as reviews typically arrive just a day before the official game launch.

The last Armored Core game was released in 2013 for PS3 and Xbox 360. Since the launch of Armored Core 5, there has been no major new entry until later this month when Armored Core 6 will arrive for PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

The game features vehicular-based combat, allowing players to control mechs known as Defensive Cores. The main characters, expert pilots, can manage these mechs, and the game offers extensive modifications. The core combat appears to have been tweaked to make it more flexible and engaging for players.

Set in the future, the story unfolds in a world where humanity has developed interstellar civilization. It deals with the aftermath of a cataclysmic event known as the Fires of Ibis, caused by a substance called Coral.

The details on the pre-load for the game along with its download size were revealed recently. Bandai Namco has also updated the official website to confirm the resolution and frame rate for the different platforms.

Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon is set to be released on August 25, 2023, for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC. The game is developed by From Software and published by Bandai Namco.
