Host Geoff Keighley started the high-profile event in the best way possible with Bethesda’s awaited Xbox exclusive. This time, the game unveiled a new trailer, showcasing its vast world in live-action through the characters and their amazing moments of space exploration.

Unfortunately, though, just when Keighley was about to welcome Todd Howard, the director of Starfield, a person came onto the stage. At first, he seemed like an enthusiastic fan approaching the host to show his excitement for the game. But he had other intentions – to disturb the flow of the event itself.

As one can clearly see in the live-streamed video, above, a man comes up to Geoff while screaming “GTA 6”. But wait, how come Rockstar’s yet-to-be-revealed installment made it to Gamescom? Well, it looks like someone was frustrated with there being no trailer or even a teaser so far. Hence, they decided to bring it to everyone’s attention by simply gatecrashing the event. “Bill Clinton wants to play GTA 6”, shouted the unidentified man.

“This is such a special night for so many developers, it’s really disappointing to see someone act that way”, said the host following this unscripted moment. Obviously, he was not very happy with this incident. “But we’re gonna move on with the show.” However, this is not the first time something like this has happened.

Fans taking to the stage to support their favorite Game not a new phenomenon

In case anyone missed keeping track of past events, The Game Awards from last year also witnessed a similar incident. Coincidentally, it also involved host Geoff Keighley. The infamous moment occurred when a 15-year-old ‘Bill Clinton kid‘ walked up to the stage and snatched the mic off the winners. He did it right after Elden Ring won the Game of the Year award.
