If you are au fait with our PS Plus guide and Sony’s service in general, you’ll know that the highest PS Plus Premium tier offers PS Plus Trials for plenty of different types of games that swap in and out of the service. Well, now the PS Plus trial for Soul Hackers 2 is ending — a solid RPG from Atlus, developer of the Persona series.

Soul Hackers 2 leaves PS Plus Premium’s Trials service

Soul Hackers 2 is leaving PS Plus Premium’s Trials service on Saturday, August 27, 2023 at 00.00 am. That means you have just this week to get stuck into the RPG if you are interested. The PS Plus Trial is two hours long and requires a 33.65GB download, but is available for the PS5 and PS4 versions of the game. Remember, pausing will not stop the PS Plus Trial counter, so make sure you pause and quit if you need to stop playing.

Platform(s): PS5, PS4
Leaving on: Sunday, August 27, 2023
Estimated Completion time: 60-80 hours
Community Rating: 3.83

Once you finish the trial, you’ll get the option to transfer your progress over to a full copy. Over the course of two hours, you’ll be able to unlock a few of the early-game trophies. You’ll most certainly be able to get ‘Soul Hacked‘ as well as a separate hidden trophy. If you are particularly snappy, you’ll be able to get ‘The Sabbath Begins‘ as well. Again, the full list will take 60 hours for the fastest gamers.

As for the quality of the game itself, it was solidly received by critics. While it was praised for being a really good core RPG, many found there wasn’t much here to commend it above other games in the genre. However, more hardened RPG fans were really looking forward to the game on release and, indeed, found that it met their expectations. So, if you were a fan of the first game or you love an RPG — Soul Hackers 2 is worth a try for two hours!
