Millions of Google users have had their minds blown on discovering Chrome’s ‘no internet’ T-Rex’s ability to waste time when the net has crashed.
In a viral TikTok, a woman revealed that the little dinosaur that pops up on the screen when you loose connection is an interactive game called Dinosaur Game that can be played without the internet.
The game would have been useful information to know yesterday for some, as a Microsoft update triggered a global IT crisis.

Users worldwide, from the UK to India, Australia and the US, reported encountering the Blue Screen of Death error messages.
The outage impacted various sectors including banking institutions, hospitals, supermarkets and media companies, and saw airlines ground planes.
Many viewers of the TikTok video were discovering Dinosaur Game for the first time despite the game launching 2014 and designed to pass time when the internet is down.
Many people had thought the dinosaur was a just a static image and had never thought to press the image or hit the space bar.
Hitting one of these keys starts the game, in which the player makes the T-Rex jump over hurdles.
In the videos the woman navigates the dinosaur around cactuses and paper planes and towards doughnuts, until a cup of coffee appears in the character’s paws, and the woman says: “Now I’m a coffee person”. The dinosaur then begins to jump office furniture.
The video was viewed by more than 9.6 million people, many whom said the game was banned from their schools. Others express disbelief at the games existence.
“I’m 30 and just finding this out,” wrote one woman, while another exclaimed “WAIT YOUR TELLING ME NOW THATS A GAME!!,” and a third asked “how did I knot now this?”.
People who did know about the game, revealed how much they enjoyed the T-Rex, with one person saying: “I actually really love the little dino game, I get excited when the internet craps out for a minute.”
