Seattle startup Adronite raises M to help enterprises understand their codebases

Seattle-based AI startup Adronite has secured $5 million in Series A funding, led by Gatemore Capital Management, to expand its ambitious mission: giving large organizations deep visibility into sprawling, complex codebases using artificial intelligence. In a developer tools landscape crowded with AI coding assistants, Adronite is setting itself apart by focusing not just on individual files or snippets, but on entire systems—both modern and legacy—helping enterprises truly understand how their software works as a cohesive whole.

The funding round arrives at a pivotal moment in the AI developer tools market, where competition is heating up fast. While many tools focus on helping developers write code faster or catch bugs in small units, Adronite’s platform is designed to operate at a system-wide scale. Its AI ingests complete codebases—some with millions of lines—enabling capabilities like security analysis, modernization, and active remediation across an entire software ecosystem.

Adronite’s approach goes beyond static analysis. The platform can generate applications directly from natural language prompts, and includes an AI chat interface that delivers real-time, system-wide insights. Supporting over 20 programming languages, the tool has already proven itself on a 2.5-million-line codebase, demonstrating its capacity to handle the complexity of large enterprise environments.

The company, currently 15 people strong, plans to begin its first commercial deployments in Q1 2026, marking a significant step toward broader market adoption.

In a space where CAST and Sonar offer robust code review and quality tools, Adronite emphasizes its unique value proposition: the ability to run entirely within a secured internal network. This private network capability allows organizations to leverage AI-powered insights without exposing sensitive codebases to external environments—a critical feature for industries with strict security and compliance requirements.

Adronite was co-founded in 2023 by Edward Rothschild, a seasoned software engineer and engineering leader. Rothschild’s background includes time as a software engineer at Facebook and director of engineering at Nayya, bringing deep technical and operational expertise to the venture. His vision for Adronite is to bridge the gap between AI’s potential and the practical realities of enterprise software management.

As part of the funding round, Liad Meidar, managing partner at Gatemore Capital Management, has joined Adronite’s board as chair. Gatemore, with offices in New York and London, brings both capital and strategic guidance to help Adronite scale its operations and market reach.

The $5 million Series A marks a significant milestone for Adronite, positioning it as a notable player in the enterprise AI tooling space. As organizations grapple with increasingly complex software landscapes—often a mix of cutting-edge and decades-old systems—tools like Adronite offer a path to greater understanding, security, and agility.

With its unique focus on system-wide analysis, robust language support, and secure deployment options, Adronite is poised to make waves in the enterprise software world. As the first commercial deployments approach, all eyes will be on how this Seattle startup leverages its AI capabilities to transform the way large organizations manage and modernize their codebases.
