Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow Review: A High-Tech Vacuum with a Few Flaws

The Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow is a high-end robot vacuum that boasts impressive cleaning performance and a sleek design. With its extendable roller mop, strong suction, and advanced navigation, it’s a promising contender in the crowded robot vacuum market. However, it comes with a hefty price tag and a few quirks that may leave some users wanting more.

Price and Availability

At the time of writing, the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow is available for an introductory price of $849 on the Roborock website, before it reverts to its standard retail price of $999. It’s also available on Amazon for the same price. While it sits on the higher end of Roborock’s range, it’s worth noting that the competition is fierce in this segment, and some users may find it a bit too expensive for what it offers.

Design

The Qrevo Curv 2 Flow features a striking, glossy white design that’s easy on the eyes and can fit seamlessly into most homes. Its base is on the wider side, so make sure to measure your intended space before purchasing. The vacuum itself is taller than most, thanks to its sizeable LIDAR unit, which may make it struggle to get under some couches.

One of the standout features of the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow is its extendable roller mop, which is designed to better clean edges and tight gaps. However, the brush heads don’t get the same treatment, so there’s no extendable brush, which limits its ability to clean smaller nooks. The vacuum also features AI-powered cleaning and detection systems, including the DirTect feature, which identifies mess types and automatically adjusts cleaning strategies.

Performance and Test Results

In our standardized tests, the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow delivered impressive results, particularly with Cheerios and cat litter. It achieved a near-comprehensive coverage and 20,000pa of suction, making it a powerful cleaner. However, it fared less well with cat hair, with some of the remaining hair partially clogging the small dust inlet.

When it came to mopping, we encountered a big issue: streaking. Each pass would leave a set of streaks across the kitchen floor, and while the mop would double back to do another ‘S’ pass, there was no guarantee of 100% coverage. However, cranking up the water output to 20 or 25 helped address this issue, and we found it to be a solid mop with sufficient downforce.

App

The Roborock app has a clean and inviting look, with easy access to standard and customizable cleaning routines. Diving further into the menu system, there are heaps of settings you can tweak, including vac and mop, vac only, and even vac followed by mop. However, some options are buried a little too deep, and the menus are littered with awkward translations.

Verdict

The Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow is a great performer with impressive cleaning capabilities and advanced navigation. However, it comes with a few flaws, including the lack of a detergent tank and the absence of an extendable brush head. Despite these quirks, it’s a solid choice for those looking for a high-tech vacuum that can handle dirt and cooking splatter with ease.
