Since its inception, Wilbe has trained over 1,400 scientists, backed 22 companies, and contributed to the creation of more than $1.3 billion in global value. However, the organisation has consistently observed a critical challenge: founders often secure early-stage capital but find themselves stalled by the difficulty of accessing suitable laboratory infrastructure quickly enough to maintain momentum. The new facility, located within The WestWorks building at White City Place and developed by asset manager Stanhope, is designed to accommodate 10–15 companies and up to 80 people. It features fully fitted wet labs, offices, and meeting rooms, all ready for immediate use. This eliminates the typical delays associated with lab fit-outs and procurement, allowing teams to commence experimental work from day one. The space is tailored by and for scientist-founders, providing flexible infrastructure suitable for companies ranging from pre-seed to Series B stages.
