Delivery agents open up about working for Zomato with Deepinder Goyal. Internet reacts


In a recent initiative to gather feedback and improve services, Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal sat down with three of the company’s delivery partners. The candid conversation highlighted one consistent theme: the freedom that comes with their job. But, the internet raised some other questions after that.

Goyal shared the video on Instagram where Umesha, a delivery partner from Bengaluru, expressed his appreciation for the autonomy. “I can work like my own boss,” he said, emphasising the flexibility that Zomato offers. Vinish V from Thiruvananthapuram echoed this sentiment, noting that he can take leaves whenever he needs without seeking approval from a superior.

Jaswinder Singh from Chandigarh also highlighted the lack of pressure from bosses. “I don’t feel the heat from any bosses in my work as a delivery partner,” he shared. This independence and control over their schedules seem to be a significant perk for these workers.

Goyal’s interaction with the delivery partners provided him with valuable insights into their daily experiences and how the company can further improve its systems.

“Umesha, Vinish, and Jaswinder joined Zomato around three years back. Here is a bite of them sharing their favorite thing about working as a delivery partner. Learned so many things and got their feedback on how we can improve our systems,” read the caption accompanying the video of their discussion.

Although the video went viral with tons of likes, many raised questions on why the conversation didn’t include the cons of working with Zomato. Goyal took note of the comments as well.
