Google says the improved time zone picker will appear everywhere a time zone can be selected in Google Calendar. This includes the web, Android, and iOS apps.

The company says the feature will roll out to all users over the next two weeks, so keep an eye out for the update. It will be available to all Google Workspace customers and legacy G Suite Basic and Business customers, as well as users with personal Google accounts.

If you’re a Google Calendar user, this is a welcome change. It’s a small tweak, but it will save a lot of time and frustration when setting up events across multiple time zones.

Looking ahead, we’d love to see Google add more intelligent features to Calendar, like automatically suggesting the best meeting time based on all attendees’ time zones. It would also be great if the app could detect when you’re about to schedule something in a time zone you’re not currently in and offer to switch automatically.
