Mozilla is shaking up the browser world with two game-changing features coming to Firefox: a built-in VPN and a native Split View. These updates are designed to boost your privacy and productivity without ever leaving your browser.

Built-In VPN: Privacy Without the Trade-Offs

Tired of sketchy VPNs that log your data or bombard you with ads? Firefox’s new built-in VPN aims to fix that. Instead of routing all your system traffic, it works entirely within the browser, hiding your IP address and location as you browse. Mozilla promises this keeps your data safe without the usual trade-offs of ad-driven or data-collecting VPNs.

Here’s the deal: you get 50GB of data per month for free, and it’s rolling out first in the US, France, Germany, and the UK. But remember—this is browser-only protection, so it won’t cover apps outside Firefox.

Split View: Multitasking Made Simple

Ever wished you could see two websites side by side without juggling tabs? Firefox’s new Split View does exactly that. Whether you’re comparing prices, copying info, or just need to keep an eye on two pages at once, this feature lets you dock tabs next to each other in one window. It’s been in the works for a while and is finally landing in Firefox 149 next week.

Smart Window, which offers optional AI-powered summaries and quick help

A new mascot named Kit, adding a bit of personality to the browser
