BLUEFIELD, W.Va. (WVVA) – Internet company gigabeam and Brandon Disney’s State Farm agency are partnering with Bowen field to educate the next generation on the topic of digital dangers.
The company is hosting its “Bark in the Park” event on Sunday, June 29, 2024 at 5:30 at the ball park.
A booth will be set up to encourage parents to download an app called “bark” on their smart device.
The app helps protect children from cyberbullying, predators and allows parents to track their child’s location.
“To be here as a local internet company and we care about the community and want to keep kids safe,” said organizer, Michelle White.
Once they talk with you about app, they are inviting parents and children to enjoy a Ridge Runner game.
If you’re heading the game children 14 years and younger get into the game free and gates open at 4:30 pm.
