Capcom’s long-delayed Pragmata is now arriving a week earlier
Capcom has unveiled a brand-new release date for Pragmata, its highly anticipated dystopian sci-fi adventure, setting it for April 17, 2025. Originally slated for April 24, the game will now launch a week earlier across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. This latest announcement came during the publisher’s March 5 Spotlight showcase, where it also debuted a fresh gameplay trailer packed with never-before-seen locations, mechanics, and a deeper look inside the lunar base known as the Shelter.
Pragmata first burst onto the scene in 2020 with a promised 2022 release window, only to be pushed back to 2023 amid development challenges. Capcom then went quiet on the project for months before resurfacing last year with a new 2026 target—now accelerated to mid-2025. The game’s long and winding road to launch has fueled intense speculation and hype among fans eager to explore its mysterious, futuristic world.
The newly released trailer offers a tantalizing glimpse at the game’s atmospheric environments, high-tech combat sequences, and the evolving relationship between its two protagonists. The Shelter—a sprawling lunar facility—appears to play a central role in the narrative, hinting at complex puzzles, stealth mechanics, and narrative-driven exploration. With its blend of sci-fi storytelling and immersive gameplay, Pragmata is shaping up to be one of Capcom’s most ambitious original titles in years.
For those wanting an early taste, a free Sketchbook demo is now available on the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Nintendo eShop, and Steam. Pre-orders are also live, giving fans the chance to secure bonuses and exclusive content ahead of launch.
With its new April release date locked in and excitement building, Pragmata is poised to make a major splash in 2025—potentially redefining expectations for narrative-driven sci-fi adventures on modern consoles and PC.
