I saw the Nothing Phone 4a in every color at MWC – and these two are my favorite
Nothing is set to launch its Phone 4a series in London at the “Built Different” event on March 5, and the excitement is already building. The company has been teasing the Phone 4a, but the Phone 4a Pro remains a mystery. Ahead of the March 5 unveil, Nothing took to MWC 2026 to reveal the base Phone 4a in all its glory, and it’s already turning heads.
A Color for Everyone
Nothing is giving users plenty of options with the Phone 4a, offering it in black, blue, pink, and white. Each color has its own personality, and I had the chance to check them all out. The pink variant, which we’ve seen before, is a standout with its pastel hue, while the blue is vibrant and eye-catching. For those who prefer something more understated, the black and white models are subtle and sleek. The white, blue, and pink versions feature a silver camera module, while the black variant has a color-matched camera housing, adding a touch of sophistication.
Same Design Language, with a New Look
Nothing is sticking to its signature design language but with a fresh twist. The Phone 4a features a transparent window that gives a peek into the phone’s inner workings, a design element that’s both functional and visually appealing. The pill-shaped camera bump sits in the top middle of the device, surrounded by a ring of coils that are color-matched to each model. The flash is positioned off-center above the camera bump, adding a unique touch to the design.
The Glyph Interface, a hallmark of Nothing phones, is back but with a new look. Instead of the traditional light strips, the Phone 4a sports a bar with six square lights and an extra red recording light. Each square contains nine mini-LED lights that can be customized, making the phone feel more personal. Nothing says this design is less distracting than the lights on the Phone 3a series, which is a welcome change for those who found the previous design too flashy.
What About the Phone 4a Pro?
The Phone 4a Pro remains shrouded in mystery, and fans are eagerly waiting to see what sets it apart from the base model. Will it have a more powerful processor? A better camera system? Or perhaps some exclusive features that make it the ultimate flagship? We’ll have to wait until March 5 to find out, but the anticipation is already building.
As Nothing continues to push the boundaries of smartphone design, the Phone 4a series is shaping up to be another bold step forward. Whether you’re drawn to the vibrant colors, the transparent design, or the customizable Glyph Interface, there’s something for everyone in this lineup. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the launch!
