Google’s Pixel At a Glance feature is getting its most significant expansion in years with the addition of Sports and Finance information cards. Update 2/28: The Finance card now displays “Your top movers” at market close, with a tap opening Google Finance in Chrome. Meanwhile, Sports and Finance features are still rolling out gradually across devices, with some users reporting they’re seeing only one or neither feature yet.

What’s New in At a Glance?

The update introduces two powerful new information streams:

Sports: Live updates from your favorite teams appear automatically
Finance: Real-time market data shows your top stock movers

Both features appear at the top of your notification shade when no other alerts are present, featuring a subtle translucent background that works seamlessly with your home screen aesthetic.

How It Works

Once enabled, these cards appear on your always-on display and lock screen. The experience is designed to be glanceable – you don’t need to open any apps to see live scores or market movements. Long-press to dismiss cards you’re not interested in.

The Sports feature uses the same team selection system as Google Search/Discover, while Finance connects directly to your Google Finance watchlist. Google warns that Sports “may affect battery life” due to constant data updates.

Rolling Out Now

The features are enabled by default and appear at the top of your At a Glance settings. We’re seeing this with the stable Android 16 February release and version B.21 of Android System Intelligence across all Pixel devices tested.

This update represents Google’s continued investment in making Pixel devices more personalized and information-rich without requiring users to actively check multiple apps throughout the day.
