Samsung’s next Ultra tablet appears ready to outshine the iPad Pro
Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra Set to Rival iPad Pro with Ultra-Thin Design and AI Features
Samsung is gearing up to take on Apple’s iPad Pro with its next-generation tablet, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, which is rumored to match the iPad Pro’s slim profile while offering a host of premium features. According to a leak from reliable tipster Ahmed Qwaider, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra will measure just 5.1 millimeters thick, the same as the 13-inch iPad Pro with M4 chip. This ultra-thin design could make it one of the sleekest tablets on the market, setting the stage for a fierce competition in the high-end tablet segment.
What’s on the Table?
The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is expected to come with a 14.6-inch OLED display, slightly larger than the iPad Pro’s 13-inch screen. One of the most notable design changes is the removal of the boat-shaped notch that housed dual front cameras on previous models. Instead, the Tab S11 Ultra will feature a smaller teardrop-shaped notch with a single selfie camera, giving it a cleaner and more modern look.
Under the hood, the tablet is rumored to pack 16GB of RAM, 1TB of storage, and a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth performance and ample space for multitasking and media consumption. The device will also be IP68-certified, making it dust and water-resistant, and will be available in two colors: silver and grey.
How Can Samsung Shine?
Samsung is not just aiming to match the iPad Pro in terms of design but also plans to outshine it with a range of features. The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is expected to support 45W wired charging, significantly faster than the iPad Pro’s charging capabilities. Additionally, the tablet will feature dual rear cameras, offering more versatility for photography and video calls compared to the iPad Pro’s single rear camera.
Another standout feature is the recessed magnetic slot on the tablet’s metallic shell, designed to securely store the stylus when not in use. This thoughtful addition enhances the tablet’s usability for creative professionals and note-takers.
The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra will also run One UI 8, Samsung’s latest software update, which brings deep integration with Google Gemini, offering a suite of AI-powered features. This could give Samsung an edge in terms of productivity and user experience, especially for those who rely on AI-driven tools.
As for the launch, Samsung has confirmed that the Tab S11 series will debut in the second half of 2025, giving Apple fans and tech enthusiasts plenty to look forward to.
