Weekly poll results: the Oppo Find N6 gets praise, but limited availability is an issue
Oppo Find N6: A Foldable Flagship That Could Have Been a Global Sensation
The Oppo Find N6 is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about smartphones of the year—and for good reason. With its sleek design, cutting-edge features, and impressive upgrades, it’s no surprise that the foldable has already captured the attention of tech enthusiasts worldwide. However, there’s one major catch: Oppo has decided not to release the Find N6 in Europe, leaving many potential buyers disappointed. Had it been available globally, the N6 could have easily achieved a staggering 50% positive vote in last week’s poll—or even higher, depending on how it performs in real-world testing.
For those unfamiliar, the Find N series has been a standout in the foldable market, and the N6 builds on the success of its predecessor, the Find N5. The N5 impressed us last year with its innovative design and functionality, and the N6 takes things to the next level. Among its most notable upgrades are the “zero-feel” crease, a 200MP main camera, and a larger 6,000mAh Si/C battery. These enhancements make the N6 a compelling option for anyone in the market for a premium book-style foldable.
That said, foldables aren’t for everyone. Many commenters on our poll echoed this sentiment, noting that the high price point and niche appeal of foldables like the Find N6 might not justify the investment for all users. Others expressed a desire for a more affordable foldable option, as the Find N series is firmly positioned in the flagship category. Still, for those who are willing to splurge on a top-tier foldable, the Find N6 is undoubtedly on their shortlist—assuming it’s available in their region, of course.
Interestingly, among those who voted against the Find N6, one of the most common criticisms centered around the camera. While the 200MP main sensor sounds impressive on paper, it’s worth noting that it’s only a 1/1.56” sensor, which is relatively small. The pixels measure just 0.5µm, which could impact low-light performance and overall image quality. The other sensors in the camera system are also on the smaller side, raising questions about how the N6 will stack up against traditional bar phones in this critical area.
We’re currently testing the Oppo Find N6, and we’ll be diving deep into its camera performance, battery life, and the much-hyped “zero-feel” crease. Stay tuned for our full review, where we’ll share our thoughts on whether the N6 lives up to the hype—and whether it’s worth the investment for foldable enthusiasts.
