YouTube is making its $7.99-per-month Premium Lite subscription a whole lot more attractive by adding two highly-requested features: offline video downloads and background playback. Previously, these perks were exclusive to the full $13.99 Premium plan, but now Lite users can enjoy them too—making the cheaper tier a much more compelling option for ad-free viewing.
