Reliable and affordable internet services coming to rural West Texas towns

ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) – Jeff Davis, Brewster, Presidio, and Culberson counties will soon have access to reliable and affordable internet.

This week, Senator Blanco announced that the Texas comptroller’s office had been awarded 5.2 Million dollars in grant funding for broadband internet services.

Thanks to the “Bringing Online Opportunities to Texas” program, which aims to enhance internet connectivity across rural areas.

Below is how the funds are awarded:

• · Brewster County: Big Bend Telecom, Ltd. – $1,067,589
• · Culberson County: Resound Networks – $378,450
• · Jeff Davis County: Big Bend Telecom, Ltd. – $3,319,532
• · Presidio County: Resound Networks – $410,040
