T-Mobile customers can score $200 gift card as carrier slashes home internet pricing by $10 after backlash

T-MOBILE launched a new deal for internet subscribers with plans starting at just $50.

Last month, T-Mobile announced it would slash the price of its home internet plan from $60 to $50.

Subscribers can get an extra $5 off when they enroll in automatic payments.

Bundling the internet package with a phone plan can save customers an additional $10 to $20 monthly.

Eligible customers could get 5G internet for as low as $40 a month, depending on where they live.

Interested consumers can use the locator tool on T-Mobile’s website to see if their address is covered.

The discount comes after a January price hike that bumped the price to $60.

If the discount isn’t enough to entice new customers, T-Mobile also offers them a $200 prepaid gift card when they sign up.

This is a limited-time offer, but the end date hasn’t been announced yet.

BAD CONNECTION

T-Mobile customers slammed the company after it announced a price hike earlier this month.

The company started charging $5 more per line on June 5.

“For the first time in nearly a decade, we’re making price changes on some of our rate plans,” the company said.

“You’ll keep all the benefits you currently enjoy, including access to America’s largest and fastest 5G network, and no further action is needed from you.”

Some newer plans will not be impacted, but customers who had “Price Lock” contracts are arguing that their rates were meant to never increase.

“That’s not a Price Lock. What exactly is being Locked In?” asked one subscriber on Reddit.

“Locking in their lies,” replied a disgruntled customer.
