As anyone who knows me will tell you, I won’t shut up about my Meta Quest 3. It’s been a legit life-changing piece of tech that made me fall in love with exercise, and it’s also just plain fun to play with whenever I want to set some high scores in Beat Saber and Pistol Whip. At this point I bring it with me on trips so that I don’t miss a Supernatural workout, and have even gotten a few family members hooked on its immersive VR experiences. Suffice to say, I like this thing a lot, which is why I highly recommend jumping on this Prime Day deal before it’s gone tonight.
The Meta Quest 3 is currently down to $430 on Amazon, which is just a dollar shy of the lowest price we’ve seen and one of the first major deals I’ve found for this popular headset that launched last fall. That saves you a cool $70 that you can instead put towards some key accessories, of which I have several to recommend below.

Its biggest upgrade from the Quest 2 is full-color passthrough, which allows for really neat mixed reality experiences that blend the real and virtual worlds (such as a zombie shooter where the undead walk through your actual door).
There are fitness apps like FitXR and Les Mills Bodycombat, immersive games like Asgard’s Wrath, traditional ones like Tetris Effect: Connected and a bunch of social and productivity apps. You can connect it to your gaming PC for an even more robust VR gaming experience, and can even stream Xbox games directly to the headset with no console required. And while it’s not the cheapest gadget, it’s fairly attainable as far as headsets go — heck, at this sale price, you can buy eight of them for nearly the same price as a single Apple Vision Pro and outfit your whole family in VR.
I love the rubberized coating and added knuckle grips these provide, especially when I’m swinging my controllers wildly in Supernatural. This enhanced version of the grips I use provide easier access to the battery compartment, and as someone constantly swapping batteries, I’m tempted to upgrade.
If you want even deeper immersion or just want to enjoy your favorite VR games without disturbing your housemates, these Quest-optimized earbuds are a great option that have been impressively lag free for me during heated gaming and exercise sessions.
The Quest 3 works well out of the box, but I’ve picked up a bunch of accessories that have made mine more comfortable and workout-friendly — and fortunately, you can snag Amazon Prime Day deals on many of them. As someone who uses their Quest to work out, I couldn’t live without a face cover (which makes the headset easier to clean) and a set of controller grips (which ensures said controllers don’t slip out of my sweaty hands). It’s also worth considering add-ons such as carrying case for safely transporting your headset, or a charging dock for keeping yours juiced up.
