Gilat secures $10m order from Internet Para Todos

Gilat Satellite Networks has received a follow-on six-year order worth over $10m from Internet Para Todos (IPT) to deliver Cellular Backhaul services in rural areas of Peru.

IPT is a collaborative initiative involving Telefónica, Meta, IDB Invest and The Latin America Development Bank (CAF) aimed at bridging the digital divide in Latin America through a sustainable model that addresses connectivity challenges in rural and geographically complex regions.

Building on previous contracts, Gilat will enhance its 4G Cellular Backhaul services for IPT over terrestrial networks across the 700 sites it currently operates in six Peruvian regions and 100 new sites in the Peruvian jungle. This upgrade will provide high-speed terrestrial connectivity to over 1m additional people in rural areas.
